I took a little road trip up to Burlington, VT earlier this evening to catch my friends in Crucial Times as they played their last show. I’ve been friends with these guys for a few years now, and it was great to see them go out with a bang. I’ve always loved Vermont shows, but this was by far one of the best.  242 Main is doing great things with the punk community in Burlington, and I endlessly support that place. So should you.

[Because I drove 3+ hours to this show and had classes prior to the show, I was not able to catch the first two bands. I apologize to those bands]

So I’ve been contracted to do some photo work for a couple of departments at my college. I had done some work with the school’s newspaper, The Beacon, last year, but I have since parted ways with them. Here are some headshots I did for the new Admissions website the other day.

I’ve been incredibly busy over the last few months, and haven’t had a lot of time to dedicate to photo-related projects. Over the summer, I played in three bands, worked two jobs 7 days a week, put out a zine, among other things. I’m currently back in North Adams. Here’s a little taste of the few photos I’ve collected over the summer:

So I haven’t updated this site in quite some time. I’ve been really busy, and haven’t done a lot of non-photojournalistic shooting. I shot this for The Beacon last week though, and I was actually surprised at how well some of these came out. These are from the MCLA Dance Company’s Spring Performance and 10th Anniversary at Mass MoCA last Saturday. Here are a few images, and there are more on my Flickr page.

Let me preface this by saying that I’ve been super excited about this show for a while. Some of my favorite current bands all playing a show together. I wish Algernon had ended up playing, but it was still amazing. I’m bummed that MHTJ has one more show left. Regardless, last night was a show to remember.

On another note, MHTJ’s two drummer thing absolutely blew my mind. Note for note, it was perfect. Definitely did not see that coming.

After waiting for about 3 months, these slides finally came in the mail from Kansas. I really like how a lot of them came out, I only wish that I’d have another opportunity to shoot it again. This was my first time shooting color slides of any sort, nevermind the legendary Kodachrome. Unfortunately, it seems as though we will never see the return of K-14 developing
